University : University of Exeter
Course title : PGCE Religious Education
Year of graduation : 2009
Overall opinion
Its ok for postgraduate study, I imagine the place, as charming as it is, would get a bit tedious over three years. PGCE teaching is good though.
Quality of course and lecturers
A good course. Good teaching and advice, although as with most education academics a bit detached from the real world of teaching teenagers.
University facilities
Small library on St. Lukes. Adequate at best. Bar is ok in the day for coffee and lunch.
Student union
Only went once, seemed ok.
University societies and clubs
Not sure, wasn't interested.
University life
You can exhaust Exeter's nightlife in two weeks - I was there for three months of my PGCE, three years would have been dull. Some nice cafes around the cathedral.
Accommodation
I used private accommodation - its expensive.
Job prospects and careers service
Depends on your course I guess - it's good for PGCEs
