Overall opinion
Enjoyment of Uni= 0-It is poor, and teaching is lack-lustre and rubbish. No clubs to join, no activities. Recommend to others= Like a hole in the head, will know next time, this place is crap. Parts to be bettered= Everything. Teaching is lousy, no feedack when you hand assignments/drafts in. Library facilities are poor, it just isn't a library. Communication between lecturers idoesn't happen either, and they don't communicate with us. Drop-out rate has been extraordinary, approx 60% of peole on our course have dropped out! Most important piece of advice= Unless you are desperate, a refugee or completely off your face and like the idea of a Mickey Mouse Degree (and a third) STAY AWAY
Quality of course and lecturers
I enjoy reading the books for this course, and have enjoyed assignments. On the whole, the lecturers have been poor and I haven't recieved feedback from much of my work. I also submit drafts, but don't recieve replies.Is there any point in staying on this course???Academic advice would be to stay away from this dump!
University facilities
Bar= Ok, cheap booze Library= Rubbish, noisy and more like a disco sometimes. Never any space to do work. Sports facilities= Nope, just a bog standard gym, but it's cheap!
Student union
never even seen them, don't know who the reps are and they sure ain't visible!
University societies and clubs
Nope, no clubs or anything like that!
University life
Carlisle is just dead, the couple of clubs here are overpriced and low-quality (unless you like being glassed and nutted by twelve guys on a Friday night).Decent pubs are few, and the bar on campus is closed through the holidays and at weekends..
Accommodation
Bad, low quality and dingy. Alsio have got damp and it is permanently freezing cold here, I'm glad to go back to my parents.
Job prospects and careers service
No help from Uni on job prospects, haven't got a clue what I want to do.There are opportunities to do a Masters in Marketing, but I want to leave this dump asap, it is like doing time in jail!
