Overall opinion
Brunel was a good university with a good mix of people. It is really important to get to know your lecturers as they are very helpful to serious students.
Quality of course and lecturers
My course was good. There was a lot of assistance from the lecturers if you needed it, especially through the final year.
University facilities
When I attended Brunel the Library was very good. It had recently been rebuilt and the new library had excellent studying facilities
Student union
The student union had regular events you could get involved in. Locos bar was always lively
University societies and clubs
Had a few but didnt really get involved
University life
Uxbridge shopping centre and cinema are within walking distance from the uni. (About twenty mins walk) You can get almost anything form there.
Accommodation
I didn't live in halls but my friends did and from what I saw they seemed very nice. New halls have also been built since I was there
Job prospects and careers service
I did a gap year at uni and after went back to the same company. Most of my friends who had done a gap year found it easier to find jobs then those that had not done the work placement. It is definitely worth doing to increase your chances of employment after graduation.
